Risk Management Forms for Coaches, Managers, Referees and other Volunteers
LHSA and its parent organization, NTSSA, have required all coaches, managers, adult referees and other volunteers to fill-out the Volunteer Application form, commonly referred to as the Risk Management Form, which was used to check the background on our volunteers to protect the children from exposure to unsavory characters. We now have a better method of doing this with an ONLINE form---which makes it easier to use, avoids the existence of paper containing any confidential information which had to flow through the LHSA office, allows the clearance determination to be obtained immediately by the volunteer, and can be done well in advance of the coaches meeting (we will not be giving out Volunteer cards to anyone who has not been cleared through the new system). ALL COACHES, MANAGERS, ADULT REFEREES, AND OTHER VOLUNTEERS ARE REQUESTED TO IMMEDIATELY COMPLETE THIS FORM. 2008 Tournament of Champions (TOC)
LHSA sent eight teams to the North Texas TOC this December. What is the TOC you ask? The TOC is a tournament that is put on by ...The North Texas State Soccer Association, the governing body for all recreational soccer associations in the North Texas area. Each association sends its Champion for each age group from U10 - U19. These teams compete against other associations' teams the first weekend in December. Congratulations to the LHSA U19G Shamrocks. They finished 1st in their division and won their quarter and semi-final matches and then winning the U19G Championship game. Three of our eight teams also finished 2nd in their division. Congratulations to all the LHSA teams that participated in this tournament.
Spring LHSA 3 v 3 Tournament
The Spring 3 v 3 Tournament only for LHSA teams will be held April 11, 2009at Moss Park. This is a tournament for LHSA teams from U5 to U12 only and will be played on smaller sided fields. See the Tournament page for all the details.

Under-4 Development League
We are now conducting a Development League for Under-4 players (players must be 3 years old by August 1 of the current soccer year)!!

Renovations to Moss Park concessions stand
The concessions stand at Moss Park has undergone a $50,000.00 renovation. It was opened March 31, 2006 as Al's Place Plaza, in memory of LHSA's longtime director of concessions, Al Stevens.
