LHSA Under 4 Developmental Age Group
The U4 Developmental age group is exactly that, it is a developmental program for boys and girls under 4 years old. The program is designed to allow younger kids to have fun, make friends, and interact with other children their own age while learning basic soccer skills. The program uses a 3 v 3 format to allow younger kids to get the maximum number of touches on the ball. It also allows the coaches to interact with the players on the field before the start of each game. This age group will also be able to participate in the Sunday evening soccer skills clinics(temporarily suspended) at the Harry S. Moss Soccer Complex, taught by some of the areas past professional players or Licensed coaches. These clinics will also allow U4 coaches to learn new skills in creating fun practice drills that the younger players will enjoy doing while advancing their skills. No scores or standings are kept for this age group. It is strictly for the younger players to have fun while learning about the game of Soccer.
Registration is easy, just click on the registration link on the LHSA web page and you can register an individual. Team formation is done by the age group commissioner and follows the standard guidelines of school and neighborhood.
Parents/coaches are
Not allowed to form their own teams.
